Our House

Charlotte is now part of an international phenomenon as it embarks on its first Ronald McDonald House. The Charlotte community will soon be able to give seriously ill children and their families the warmth and comforts of home, along with emotional support and education to promote the well-being of the entire family with "the house that love built". Over the next two-year project to raise funding, build an organization to oversee design, construction and operation of the house, and ultimately open the Ronald McDonald house of Charlotte in 2009. Current plans envision a roughly 30,000 square foot home featuring more than 20 suites situated in the 1600 block of Morehead Street. "The success of the Ronald McDonald House will largely rely on involvement from the Charlotte business community," said Robby Lowe, vice president of business development with J. F. Schultze Construction. "Our company, along with Little Diversified Architectural Consultants, have started the ball rolling but there are many ways companies and individuals can support and help build this home."

We will keep you current of our progress through a pictorial lay out that will be updated on regular basis. We want you to feel that this is YOUR HOUSE, and your hand is part of its everyday construction.
